Opening of the network of historic house museum in Milan
Milan possesses a unique patrimony, and its recent history is represented in four exceptional historic house museums. The residences of noblemen Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli and Fausto and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi date from the second half of the 19th century, while the bourgeois villas of the Boschi Di Stefano family and the industrialists Necchi Campiglio were both built by architect Piero Portaluppi and date from the 1930s to the 1970s.
Milan’s network of historic house museums, all located in the city centre, share a common theme, although each museum has its own particular slant on the period it describes.
Heads is responsible for the coordinated image of this museum network, which provides a fascinating insight into the diverse identities of Milan.

Carlos Casas filmmaker and visual artist.His work is a cross between documentary film, cinema, and contemporary visual and sound arts. His last three films have been awarded in festivals around the world from Torino, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City and his video works have been presented in collective and personal exhibitions. In 2001 he started a trilogy of work dedicated to the most extreme environments on the planet, Patagonia, Aral sea, and Siberia. These photographs, and interview transcript are part of the Siberian Fieldworks, (Fieldworks#10) Captured in location in Chukotka, Northeastern Siberia in company of some of the world’s last whale hunters.
